Keepers

  • Each team may keep a maximum of 7 total players per season
  • Each player may be kept for 5 consecutive seasons without penalty
  • Players may be extended beyond 5 seasons, but doing so will incur a penalty
    • # of extended seasons = number of total keeper reduction
    • Ex: if a player is kept a 6th year, keeper count is 6
    • If a player is kept a 7th year, keeper count is 5, etc etc
  • Keepers are finalized one week before the draft
  • Once keepers are finalized, they may be traded before the draft

Draft

  • Trades involving draft picks must have equal draft pick contributions from each team
    • Teams must always have the same number of draft picks (19)
  • Draft picks may be traded during and after the season
  • Draft order is determined by reverse order of previous season's final standings
  • 19 rounds
  • Draft pick transactions will be for the following season unless specified otherwise
    • Teams may transact upon seasons further down the road

Trades

  • Teams may trade players and draft picks during and after the season, FAAB during only
  • To complete a trade, the following steps are required:
    • Both trade participants set up a group message with the commissioners including the details of the trade
    • Each team provides written approval stating the details to be correct
  • Once we have the above:
    • Commissioners announce trade in GroupMe
    • Trade proposed and accepted in Yahoo
    • Commissioners approve trade
      • Commissioners will approve trades as soon as possible; if players in trade had games begin for that day, the trade cannot be approved until the next day
  • Trades do not require voter approval from league members
  • Commissioners reserve the right to veto any transaction that we determine to compromise league integrity
  • A player cannot be traded between the same two teams until the after the following season's draft is completed
    • This ensures “rentals” are not possible.

Waivers

  • 7 maximum acquisitions per week
  • Waivers run daily
  • All waiver claims require FAAB, but claims can be entered with a value of $0
  • If there's a tie in bid amount, Yahoo awards player to team with highest waiver priority
  • Players that are on the Injured List (IL) may be added directly to the IL

Playoffs

  • During championship week, there is an additional matchup to determine 3rd place
  • Tiebreaker goes to higher seed
  • 8 teams, no reseeding
  • FAAB transactions are prioritized for teams participating in the championship matchup
    • If one of those teams bids more for a player than a team in the championship matchup, their FAAB will be reimbursed and that player will be moved to the team in the championship matchup
    • Teams in the 3rd place matchup can still pick up players
  • Non-playoff teams are locked when playoffs begin, and playoff teams are locked immediately upon elimination

Offseason

  • After championship week, teams are unlocked for two days
    • Teams may transact upon waivers during this time
  • Moratorium begins when playoffs end and runs through February 1

Rule Changes

  • League members can submit proposals from 1/15 through 2/1
    • Commissioners reserve the right to reject proposals upon receipt / without presenting to the league
  • All proposals are reviewed by commissioners, then presented to all league members
  • Proposals will be sent through as GroupMe polls
  • Proposals are eligible for voting for 24 hours
    • Teams may abstain from voting
  • A proposal passes when a minimum of eight (8) yes votes are recorded

Communication

  • League members are expected to engage with other league members when approached about trades during both pre-season and season
  • Members are expected to use GroupMe or be reachable via text
  • League members are not expected to respond to inquiries during the offseason
    • Offseason begins when playoffs end and runs through February 1
